And the hits just keep coming...A big "Thank You" to Jeff Jeanette for keeping score for my team last night.  Two of my players had baby sitter problems and had to play first and leave right away giving me no one to score my other's players match or mine.  Jeff just took both scoresheets and proceeded to watch two tables and keep score for everyone.  Thanks Jeff, I appreciate your great attitude and all that you do!  Oh...and "thank you" for all those shots you keep feeding us.

Hat's off to Tommy Hacker on Keith Hart's team on Monday's at Skip & Jan's.  He made a very gracious and sincere jesture to another player who was bent-out-of-shape over an incident and wanted to concede the entire match to Tommy.  Tommy turned the situation around and ended up convincing the other player that all is well and to continue to play.  In the end, they both shook hands and the hard feelings were gone.  Thanks Tommy, I really appreciate your great attitude and sportsmanship.

This is a sportsmanship recognition comment from one of our West Side players, Jon Driver.

On Wednesday the 13th of August, Different Strokes had several things occur that made it impossible to field a full team.  2 separate serious health issues that included hospitalization of family members, car troubles and unexpected work commitments kept all but 2 of our players away.  A call to their captain Dean Griswold, and he worked with us by allowing us to play that night with the available players, and the remaining matches would be made up in following weeks.  This is certainly not the only route they could have taken.  Their sportsmanship and patience in this tough situation was greatly appreciated by our entire team.

Be a blogger!  This page is specifically set up to recognize acts of good/great/excellent/superior sportsmanship that happens on a week-to-week basis.

If you have an event you would like recognized, please e-mail them to me at gcuebilliards@cox.net and I will post them for you since all you can do now is comment on the ones that I post.

I have the first one...Bobby Smith (Div. O - Clicks) was so kind as to let the "Click's Chick" girls re-schedule ALL of their matches when the entire team had to work last Thursday night.  Very admirable, Bobby, to you and your team.
